Sustainable Packaging
1001 Remedies are proud to use only sustainable and recyclable packaging throughout the brand. Plastic pollution is a worldwide hazard, it pollutes our land, our oceans, our forests and literary chokes wildlife and sea creatures.
When possible products are in glass jars or tubes, Made in Italy. The glass is then coated in white to protect the formulas as many plant extracts are sensitive to light. Only one of our products contains plastic, which is made out of 100% post-consumer recycled materials.
Our apothecary bottles have become iconic for their aesthetic appearance and luxurious feel without compromise. Additionally, all our packaging comes from the EU, allowing us to reduce our carbon emissions.

At 1001 Remedies, we champion nature and her healing properties and work tirelessly to source only organic and sustainable ingredients.
All our products are free from pesticides, parabens, phthalates, synthetic colours and fragrances, and pesticides. This makes them both kind to nature and to you.
Our founder - Sofia has worked tirelessly to develop relationships with organic growers who follow sustainable farming practices, in order to support 1001 Remedies sustainability mission. Sustainable farming does not stop at not using pesticides, but it involves everything from the way farmers treat their staff, to the conservative use of water, to the technology and knowledge used to ensure biodiversity and safety to the ecosystems.
From Farm to Face Ethically and Sustainably
We recognise that sustainability is an innovative field with new values to tackle this global issue being constantly developed. To stay on top of the trends, we continually participate in sustainability conferences, the most recent one we were grateful to have participated in was the Sustainability Think Tank organised by the French Chamber of Commerce.
Managing our Stock in an Eco-Friendly Logistics Platform
Because we wanted to go a little further in our sustainability approach, we decided to work with the first eco-friendly Logistics Platform. Certified with the ECOCERT label, our logistics platform has made multiple steps to reduce its environmental impact.
This includes:
- Banning plastic. Even scotch tape is made of kraft paper!
- Recycling all used packaging
- Using natural or recycled materials
- Buying responsibly, selecting suppliers with sustainable values
- Printing the strict minimum and dematerializing delivery notes
- Collaborating with centers of reinsertion or disabled workers
- Sharing profits: for the reforestation of France and for the protection of the environment
Beauty without Compromise - Ethical and Cruelty Free
Our mission is to conduct business ethically and in a way that continually supports not only our customers wellbeing but also delivers environmental, economic and social benefits.
We have partnered with organisations to help contribute to improving the lives of farmers and ensure that farming sustainably becomes more accessible to people. We also donate to the UCFA association, the largest women cooperative in Morocco for the production of Argan oil.
We know that it is what's on the inside that counts
We do not mix our essential oils with any solvents, chemicals, preservatives and the like, thereby delivering maximum therapeutic effect. We use pure essential oils only.
We are 100% cruelty-free, never have and never will test on animals. All our products are suitable for vegans. Most of our ingredients are organic and all have been sourced in an ethical and sustainable condition.
